Big James Branding
Big James was designed to feel like a workwear staple you’d actually trust.
The socks are logo-free, reinforced, and intentionally simple, so the brand needed to do the talking. I pulled from vintage five-and-dime packaging and old utilitarian typography, then pushed a bold yellow and brown palette to stand out in retail and online. A custom illustrated mascot brought some personality to a category that’s usually dead serious, and the system carried cleanly across packaging and a straightforward e-comm site built around “hardworking socks” and “overbuilt, understated” confidence.
